Section 06 / Expert Q&A

What should we send before the conversation?

Data Reserve research deskSection 06Page 2 of 17Last updated 4 November 2026

Send a one-page, non-confidential archive description: modalities, subject coverage, dates, update frequency, rights cohorts, proposed use, decision deadline and one disputed assumption. Attach a redacted rights schedule or commercial comparison only when authorised. Do not send the complete archive or privileged advice as routine interview preparation.

Use a 45-minute agenda as an editorial planning suggestion: five minutes for scope and conflicts; twenty for three priority questions; ten for a worked example; five for missing evidence; five for permissions and corrections. If recording, agree recording and publication terms beforehand. A factual correction process should not allow a supplier to erase a fairly presented limitation.
